Delivery Details for Carpet Sale
Your carpet roll and any underlay will be delivered to your house or premises. The driver will have lifting equipment at his disposal. Unless alternative needs are agreed beforehand, this will be sufficient to deposit the carpet to a suitable ground floor area.
No claims for damage can be entertained due to delivery, this is part of the terms of sale.
It is your responsibility:
- To clear the delivery area beforehand, removing anything that could be at risk of damage due to moving the goods. This will include pictures, ornaments and furniture.
- To cover anything that could be damaged or scratched such as flooring, wallpaper or paintwork. Hardboard is ideal for floors, heavy duty polythene sheeting helps cover wallpaper and paint.
- To ensure there is sufficient clearance through any doors the carpet will have to brought through, including removing them from the hinges if necessary. Failure to do this will result in carpet being delivered to front exterior of property only.
- To arrange your carpet fitter as soon as possible if delivery is likely to block any important access.
- To ensure the delivery van/truck can get access to your property by road.
Note:
- Carpet will only be put to the immediate ground floor area unless arrangements are made beforehand (extra costs may be required).
- We will give you the best estimate as to our time of arrival but this will be subject to traffic conditions, weather delays etc which are not under our control.
